| Buur is pretty much one-of-a-kind. If you've ever been to a regional or national event, you've probably seen him wandering aimlessly in the infield sporting his camo shorts or wandering through the pits looking for free beer. Name: Sean Buur Occupation: 14 years as Writer, Editor, Photographer for Go Racing Magazine Age: 36 Birthday: November 2nd 1972 Measurements: 5’10.5”, 145lbs, 30-30 size jeans Turn On’s: Long walks on the beach, tropical sunsets, carbon fiber, smell of race fuel, my 1967 GTO and sub 22lbs full suspension mountain bikes, and Dina with curlers in her hair. Turn Off’s: Karters who email about their stupid names being spelled wrong when they finished last, the oil industry, mullets, Mighty Ducks fans. Ambitions: To be truly great at one thing, anything, instead of being competent at a lot of things. Five best bands: U2, Police, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Beatles Five best movies: Pulp Fiction, Mash, Dodge Ball, Apocalypse Now, and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Tv shows I cant miss: Scrubs, Big Love, Weeds, How I met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Dexter Places I’ve been: 300K inside the Arctic Circle sleeping in the Ice Hotel, Japan, Italy, Canada, Mexico, England, Sweden, Denmark, France, Hawaii, Caribbean and Marshalltown Iowa. People I admire and why: Bono, because not too many people that rich make any positive philanthropic differences in the world, and Lance Armstrong. That dude can do more with 1 nut then I could do with 4. Books I recommend: Lonesome Dove, Gone With the Wind, Kite Runner, Dune, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and everything else by Douglas Adams, John Irving’s A Prayer for Owen Meany or World According to Garp. Favorite Sport: Cycling right now, but I get into Americas Cup, World Cup, and the Olympics summer and winter. Who doesn’t love biathlon? Philosophy: Do your best and zip-tie the rest or Hate is fuel and I’m on a full tank. Why I eat meat: Because everything wrapped in bacon tastes good. Rubes filets wrapped in bacon are the best. About my pets: My wife Dina and I have two cats. Before anyone says anything cats are A-holes and an acquired taste, just like me. Wildest place I’ve made love: See list of places I’ve been. 5 things every guy should own: Muscle Car, Time Piece, House, Hand Gun, and Camping gear. Coolest things I’ve ever seen: The Northern Lights from the arctic circle, Michelangelo's David and Sistine Chapel, my wife’s face when I ask her to marry me, and goal 802 for Wayne Gretzky.
